Credit Manager, Bus Credit, Business Mortgages - Melbourne
Role – Credit Manager, Business Mortgages (Business Credit) Permanent. The Business Credit Team supports both our Westpac and St. George Group brands.
Credit Managers support Distribution Teams in these brands, leading the implementation of superior credit standards, credit quality and risk/reward outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Decision credits within a defined service level.
* Engage and influence through strong credit risk assessment and evaluation skills.
Credit Managers will drive local and national standardisation across Sales, Credit and Operations organisations through decisioning transactions. They will work directly with Bankers and Lending Managers at a transactional level to increase Banker skill, promoting innovation, speed, and the elimination of waste across end-to-end processes.
What We Need:
* 3/4 years' experience originating and/or approving credit transactions.
* Significant banking/financial services experience across a broad range of disciplines.
* Working knowledge of NCP & BCOP regulations.
* Business capability, Problem solving, continuous improvement.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Risk Management, adaptability, strategic agility and flexibility.
* Strong planning and organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at any given time.
* Ability to liaise with staff and clients at all levels.
* Contributes to a strong risk culture through an open mind to continuous improvement and change.
* Sound communication and relationship building capabilities enabling an inclusive and collaborative approach in day-to-day activities.
* Intermediate MS Office Skills (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and proficiency in Westpac internal systems highly desirable.
