We are seeking appropriately qualified (youth/social work or community service) and experienced people to join our ‘talent pool’ for our expanding team of Youth Workers working in our Complex Care placements in Perth Metro. The positions are a live-in staff rostered home (primarily 12 hr shifts),working within a therapeutic model of care.

Criteria (but not limited to) for Interview
1. At least 12 months experience in providing therapeutic direct care to children and young people (0-18yo) - Essential
2. Qualifications in Youth/Social work or Community Services
3. Current First Aid/CPR Certifications - Essential. Mental Health qualifications backed up with recent experience in this field - Highly desirable
4. Do you hold an unrestricted, current and valid Driver Licence (not provisional) to be able to drive a vehicle in WA?
5. Are you legally entitled to work in Australia?
Requirements for Success - We look for the following attributes:
* Available to work a 24/7 rotating roster which may include days, evenings, sleepovers, and weekends working in both the Northern and Southern suburbs of Perth.
* An understanding of trauma informed therapeutic care to assist in deescalating and responding to critical incidents with the young person.
* Have experience in dealing with children and young people with 'complex needs and behaviours' and the ability to therapeutically manage these behaviours.
* Must have a current ‘paid employment’ Working with Children card for WA or happy to obtain one as well as current First Aid and CPR Certification.
* Qualifications in Youth Work/Social Worker or Community Services
* Statutory Checks will be completed on all new staff as part of our recruitment process
* Being fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or holding an exemption for COVID-19 vaccinations is a condition of employment with Key Assets.
