The Role
As Client Outcome Facilitator you will be responsible for the provision of case management, advocacy and support for clients engaged in our residential Alcohol & other Drugs service. Our residential services offer a 12-week rehabilitation structured program designed to help our clients recover from the effects of their dependence on alcohol and other drugs. We provide intensive treatment that integrates a range of therapeutic elements and supports to attain recovery goals in a comfortable and safe home environment.
You will be employed to connect our clients with relevant supports to help them address related issues, including family and other relationships, emotional and physical health. You will provide holistic support throughout all facets of the client journey, an inherent requirement of this role is to provide case management that focuses on client needs and fosters client capacity toward independence.
Operating within the program Service Agreement, you will be required to perform shift work including afternoon, night and weekend work.
This is a Fixed Term until 30/06/2026 - Part-time Position (30 hours per week) role based in Cairns in a 24-hour residential facility and you will have a variety of shifts that will include day/afternoon/night & weekends.
To be successful in the role, you will meet the following criteria:
* Minimum Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD)
* Knowledge of and ability to work within relevant legislation and guidelines relating to the delivery of case management and safety and risk within the program area of operation
* Previous experience as a Support Worker or equivalent within the program area of operation
* Personal aptitude for working within set guidelines and adhering to all relevant policies and procedures
* Well-developed interpersonal, communication and organisation skills including the ability to exercise judgement and contribute to a team environment
* Ability to deliver advocacy on behalf of clients and ensure confidentiality of client information at all times
* Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society
* COVID-19 vaccination status is recommended for this role but not a mandatory requirement.
* Valid Drivers Licence is required
