The primary function of this role is to be the first point of contact between the Mareeba District Rodeo Association Inc. for both new and current customers and to organise the Annual Mareeba Rodeo & Show and Festival Week, as well as other events. It is essential to have your own vehicle with a valid driver's license. The role is pivotal to the creation and maintenance of a positive relationship with our customers, the community and our sponsors.

About the Position
This role is based at the Rodeo Office, Kerribee Park Mareeba.
Working 5 days a week 6 hours a day
About the Role
Secretarial Support including phone & customer reception, correspondence, banking and mailing as well as invoicing and ordering of supplies and materials.
Financial Duties including MYOB bookkeeping through to final Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Statement for auditing. This includes budgeting, payment of accounts, debtors and creditors and preparation and lodgement of the quarterly BAS, complying with audit and ATO requirements.
Meeting Management including preparation of agenda and minute taking at committee meetings.
Event Management including organising and coordinating events throughout the year with the Annual Mareeba Rodeo & Show and Festival Week in July as the showcase event. You will be required to organise liquor permits, liaise with officials and ensure compliance liquor permit compliance, order and purchase stock and stock control throughout the year. You will be responsible for arranging and liaising with paid and volunteer staff.
Promotions and Sponsorship including organising all advertising and promotions and at times may be required to represent and speak on behalf of the Association. As well you will be required to actively promote and generate new sponsorship opportunities both locally and nationally and assist in researching, writing and coordinating grant applications.
Other Duties as directed from time to time by the President of the Association and the Management Committee.
