About the Role Ipswich Hospital's new Mental Health Acute Inpatient Service (MHAIS) has officially opened, providing the local community with a world-class mental health rehabilitation and recovery facility. Purpose-built and with a focus on recovery and social connection, the $104.6 million Ipswich Hospital's Mental Health Acute Inpatient Service state-of-the-art facility includes spaces for adult patients, older and vulnerable patients, and patients requiring more intensive clinical care. Multiple Temporary Full Time opportunities for 6 months are available. This role will be part of the multidisciplinary team in Mental Health Acute Inpatient Service (MHAIS), conducting high-level clinical/neuropsychological assessments, and brief interventions beyond routine level of practice responding to consumers and their families/carers who are impacted by acute mental health problems. This role undertakes duties of a complex and varied nature with clinical decisions based on valid and reliable evidence and is recognised as a reference point for other clinicians in the team. About You Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following: Ability to provide high quality evidence-based clinical/neuropsychology assessments, therapy, and interventions to consumers admitted to MHAIS. Ability to work collaboratively with consumers and their families, carers, and other service providers within a strong recovery framework to achieve identified consumer outcomes. Ability to provide clinical practice supervision to less experienced psychologists and students on postgraduate placement in accordance with the PsyBA guidelines.
