About the Role
Join our Lidcombe-based salmon processing facility as a Maintenance Fitter. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and quality of our processing site plant and machinery, contributing to our mission of excellence in aquaculture and seafood.
Responsibilities:
1. Maintain processing site plant and machinery;
2. Ensure optimum efficiency and product quality;
3. Minimise equipment failure in accordance with regulations and company procedures;
4. Work on dedicated projects as part of a dynamic team.
Role Requirements:
1. Proven mechanical fitter with a minimum of 5 years' experience in food or pharmaceutical production environments;
2. Strong technical aptitude and experienced in fault-finding mechanical and pneumatic issues;
3. Familiar with HACCP food safety requirements;
4. Willing to work flexible hours, including afternoons, Saturdays, and variable shifts;
5. Excellent communication and report-writing skills, a self-motivated team player with strong problem-solving abilities;
6. Demonstrates initiative, drive, and the ability to lead and motivate others.
Skills to Enhance Success:
1. MEX software experience;
2. TIG welding.
