We’re that local (Not-For-Profit) Child & Parent Centre (CPC) located on Weaver Place in South Hedland (WA) who’s all about connecting with community and ‘learning’ for children and parents. And guess what? You’re a BIG part of how we make this happen.
We’re on the lookout for an Early Years Coordinator (20 month-fixed term contract) who is passionate about child development and family support. But let’s face it, you work to live! What you’ll be doing:
To start, you’ll sit down for a cuppa with your Child & Parent Centre Manager to chat about the CPC, the ethos & purpose, integrated services, health, wellbeing, our wonderful families and school readiness for our little ones. The early learning programs will become yours, to develop, implement and improve. You’ll become a role model for families and children (up to 8 yrs of age) and a CPC Advocate while you collaborate with the local primary school, and interact with local agencies, support services and community stakeholders. You’ll be great in this role if you…
* Can demonstrate previous early years’ experience working with children and their families
* Understand Early Years Learning Framework (or similar)
* Hold a nationally recognised tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education, or equivalent (desirable not essential)
* Have worked with families and children from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, including indigenous, low socio-economic, young parents and socially isolated families
* Have proficient written & verbal communication skills
* Have reasonable computer literacy and technology skills
* Can obtain a HLTAID012 First Aid Certificate, National Police Clearance and Working with Children check
