ABOUT THE ROLE In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of delivering high-quality, evidence-based exercise physiology services to a diverse range of clients in the Central Queensland region.
As part of a dynamic and collaborative team of healthcare professionals, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing comprehensive rehabilitation programs, promoting physical activity, and empowering individuals to adopt healthier lifestyles.Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive assessments, designing personalized exercise programs, providing skilled interventions, and fostering strong partnerships with local healthcare providers and community organizations.
You will also have the opportunity to contribute to research initiatives, mentoring students, and participating in professional development activities.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE To thrive in this position, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, current accreditation with Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA), and a minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience.
Exceptional communication skills, a strong commitment to client-centered care, and a genuine passion for rural and remote health are essential.
ABOUT THE CENTRAL QUEENSLAND CENTRE FOR RURAL AND REMOTE HEALTH The James Cook University Central Queensland Centre for Rural and Remote Health (CQCRRH) in Emerald is part of a national network of 16 University Departments of Rural Health, funded through the Rural Health Multidisciplinary Training program as a workforce initiative.
This newly established centre aims to enhance clinical placements by embedding students within practices, services, organizations, and communities, with a strong focus on engaging with Indigenous communities.
