Award/Classification: Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Award, Registered Nurse, Grade 5 Employment type: Full Time Region: North Location: 46 Cameron Street, LauncestonThe Team:As part of the MDT providing specialist interventions to those young people with severe and complex mental health issues, you will be a part of the assessment team in providing crisis intervention and support to those presenting in crisis situations. The Role: Actively contribute to the clinical leadership and management of the Child and Adolescent Community Mental Health team to ensure the provision of a high quality, comprehensive, specialist mental health service to children and adolescents within a specified regional area.Support the Team Leader by developing, monitoring and evaluating clinical outcome measures, assuming a lead role in the oversight of designated clinical processes.Participate in the multi-disciplinary team review of current clients, including supporting staff in the development, monitoring and evaluation of clinical outcome measures.Promote compliance with the complete and timely collection of clinical data and designated Key Activity and Performance Indicators. You will need: Extensive experience and demonstrated specialist level knowledge of contemporary mental health nursing and an understanding of mental health issues in relation to children, adolescents, and their families.Proven ability to provide a range of assessments and therapeutic interventions relevant for children, adolescents, and families accessing services.Demonstrated experience and knowledge of other services and agencies in the context of providing specialist mental health assessment, advice, and training.Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills including negotiation, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the Mental Health Services Strategic Plan.Details of appointment:Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar vacancies. Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
