About the role
We are delighted to announce that we are inviting applications for the role of Water Treater, based at our Groundwater Treatment Plant in Botany Industrial Park.
The key responsibilities of the role include operating plant and equipment, monitoring and adjusting processes, conducting tests and analysis, maintaining equipment, and reporting on plant performance.
The ideal candidate should have experience in water treatment processes, hold a Water Treatment Certificate Level III or other trade qualification, have some experience in manufacturing operations, and have a strong focus on safety and compliance.
This role involves rotating 12-hour shift work, and offers a competitive salary and benefits package, along with growth opportunities and a chance to make a positive impact on the environment and community.
What you will be doing
* Operate the Groundwater Treatment Plant to achieve groundwater containment objectives.
* Operate in compliance with various legislation and licenses.
* Conduct routine checks and maintenance on equipment and systems.
* Monitor and adjust treatment processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation.
* Complete SHES Improvement plan objectives.
* Conduct testing and analysis.
What you will bring
* Tertiary education, trade qualification, or 1-5 years of work experience in water treatment or manufacturing operations.
* Class C driver's licence is required.
* Licence to operate a standard boiler (MSMBLIC001) is highly valued.
* Forklift, Confined space entry and standby, use of SCBA, and work at heights tickets are beneficial.
* Competent at troubleshooting plant equipment, including mechanical or electrical aptitude and ability to understand principles of process equipment and instrumentation.
* Read and interpret PFDs, P&IDs, equipment data, and laboratory analysis.
