Division: Corporate Services Location: Ashfield, NSW, AU, 2131 Req ID: 70886 Graphic Designer Location – Parramatta Employment type – Ongoing, Full-time (1 vacancy) Salary – Clerk 5/6, $93,295 to $102,941 p.a. plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading Your role The Graphic Designer is responsible for designing and delivering a variety of high-quality print and digital design assets intended to promote DCJ programs and services. Your work will effectively utilise the NSW Government brand guidelines and visual identity system. You will also act as a branding champion, liaising with stakeholders to provide direction and advice, ensuring that the NSW Government brand is used prominently and consistently across all DCJ services and communications. What you’ll do As part of the Media, Social Media and Design team, you’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive team of specialist communications professionals promoting DCJ programs and services, effectively supporting DCJ and NSW Government strategic objectives. You will also: Design, develop and present creative graphic design solutions that align with the NSW Government brand guidelines. Liaise with clients and stakeholders comfortably and confidently – effectively communicating with teams throughout the design process. Provide day-to-day administrative and project support. Includes developing and monitoring project plans, coordinating resources, maintaining monthly records and design team statistics. Assist in managing the DCJ Canva Account and Brand Hub – a self-service tool that DCJ stakeholders can use for overflow and out-of-scope requests. What we’re looking for Someone with proven experience working as a graphic designer within a team of creative professionals. You will also have a broad understanding of branding, marketing and communications. Government experience favourable. A sophisticated designer with tertiary qualifications in graphic design or a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience, as well as advanced skills using Adobe’s Creative Cloud suite of software. Animation and video editing skills not essential, but favourable. An individual that thrives working with established brand guidelines and is confident developing creative outcomes in response to briefs within the parameters of a masterbrand system, working autonomously or collaboratively. Familiarity with accessibility principles in graphic design and the ability to create design assets that satisfy the latest Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). Download the role description.
