Mechatronics Technician/Engineering StudentThis is a casual hybrid role for a Mechatronics Technician/Engineering Student, located in Osborne Park, WA, with opportunities to work remotely as required. The primary responsibilities include assisting in the design, development, and testing of our bespoke hardware systems. The role involves troubleshooting and performing maintenance on equipment, collaborating with engineers and other technicians, and documenting processes and results. The candidate will also be tasked with data collection and analysis, ensuring all operations comply with QAQC standards.Application of your studies is expected during the course of employment, and you will be supported to apply learnings thereby the role suits a 3rd/4th year student.QualificationsEnrolled in an Engineering degree (preferably Mechatronics) or relevant technical qualificationExperience with troubleshooting and maintaining mechatronic systems (hobby and/or consumer)Experience with 3D printing on FDM printers (hobby and/or consumer)Experience with Fusion360 and/or SolidworksExperience with electronic cabling, connectors, soldiering (hobby)Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work on design and development projectsProficient in data collection, analysis, and documentationBasic knowledge of QAQC standards and proceduresExcellent communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work independently and in a hybrid environmentExperience/Interest in Computer Science/Software would be well regarded and support studies during the course of employmentExperience/Interest in the mining/drill and blast industry would be well regardedExperience/Interest in drone systems, GPS, Single Board Computing, RGB / thermal imaging modules, lidarSeniority levelInternshipEmployment typeOtherIndustriesMining
