Talent International is searching for an experienced Portfolio Business Analyst to join our utility client based in Fortitude Valley on a 12 month contract basis + likely extensions.

About the role:
The Portfolio Business Analyst will be part of a larger ICT business transformation portfolio with
their ICT Delivery team, and require an experienced Business analyst to assist in preparing
preliminary business cases, establishing workshopping requirements and developing
associated programs of work for executive presentation across both Information Technology
and Operational Technology projects ranging from CRM, ERP, Finance, Document
Management, HR Systems, COTS solutions, GIS and OT systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Development of business cases for projects, per the requirements of project management framework, that include the high-level project delivery strategy, budget, timeline, resource plan, and high-level solution strategy, for presentation to relevant leadership forums.
2. Establishment of workshopping requirements
3. Business case requirements gathering
4. Produce and manage clear, high quality project reporting, including status reports, steering committee and board presentations, as required.
Essential Requirements:
5. At least 5 to 10 years' experience as a Business Analyst
6. Strong experience in the development of business cases
7. Advanced skills in the development of detailed project plans and budgets
8. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities is a must, due to the high level of stakeholder engagement, quality and accuracy of the documentation that needs to be prepared, and the subsequent executive level presentations that are required.
9. A background in project management or working within a PMO will be highly regarded.
10. Experience in utilities, mining or engineering highly regarded
11. Experience in delivering IT projects in Government organisations ideal.
12. Project Management accreditation (Agile, PMI, CPPM (AIPM) or Prince2) or equivalent years
13. Utility/Mining/Energy Industry experience highly regarded.
