About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible executing and following up on complex shipping operations and coordination. You will report directly to the Procurement Manager and Project Manager, and work closely with key internal and external stakeholders including procurement, administration, vendors, project team, finance, engineering, construction, legal and the client.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
1. Successfully execute the shipping activities for the PO assigned on a project in accordance with Technip Energies Global Principles & Standards
2. Manage transportation activities in accordance with the Logistic Execution Plan defined for the project
3. Assign shipping activities to the freight forwarder and monitor execution
4. Contribute to the freight forwarder performance assessment
5. Manage invoice and verification of the service rendered by the freight forwarder
6. Motivate team members located across different business centers and countries to be highly engaged in daily activities and improvement initiatives
7. Provide transport cost and man-hour estimates and reports. Monitor budgets vs project execution
8. Development of transport and logistics management plan for projects in agreement with the Project Procurement Manager
9. Plan and revise shipping schedule
10. Prepare issue specifications, invitation to bid, negotiation documents and service orders
11. Define and assign to forwarding agents any shipments out of service order
12. Contact suppliers and coordinate pick-up operations, based on the loading/shipping plan for each shipment
13. Issue or coordinate the issue of import-export documentation, together with the Administration Department when necessary
14. Issue and update the Shipping Notice to the various parties involved and send a separate set of shipping documents to the field
15. Take part in minor buyer activities to support OSD
16. Interface with site materials team for site coordination, preservation and storage of materials
About you
We’d love to hear from you if your profile meets the following requirements:
17. Technical Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics, Engineering or Business & Administration or equivalent work experience
18. 5 - 10 years relevant experience working within management and coordination of complex shipping schemes
19. Previous Lead or Coordinator experience an advantage
20. Knowledge of IT tools or web inquiry management IT tool is highly regarded
21. Experience working across oil & gas / energy projects
22. A strong understanding of the movement of large modules and multimodal transport
23. The ability to engage with freight forwarders and negotiate agreements
24. An in-depth understanding of customs, regulations and procedures
25. Proficient with stakeholder engagement
26. Adaptable and capable of coordinating across international locations
