JSC is a well-established civil, concreting and bulk haulage company based in Canberra, ACT.JSC has been working in the greater Canberra region for over 15 years and works mainly in the commercial civil infrastructure industries with clients such as the ACT Government, Transport for NSW and many other local government organisations and large tier 1 and tier 2 construction companies.JSC has recently expanded its core business into commercial construction projects and has established a fourth division of the business, JSC Build Group, to deliver these projects.The role of Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of JSC civil and construction projects, ensuring the program is achieved and materials & resources are available to meet contracted milestones.You will report to the Construction Manager.As a part of your employment, you will need to undergo a pre-employment medical check.The role is responsible for: Manage and monitor the works program, adjusting in Microsoft Project and Procore as needed Manage the project site, working closely with the client and superintendent to ensure expectations are met Ensuring all site compliance and reporting is completed Working with the commercial team to manage EOT's, Variations, Latent Condition Notifications etc where necessary Ordering and planning equipment, personnel and materials to ensure what is needed is scheduled and available to meet program Effective sourcing (where required) and management of subcontractors Ensuring all JSC personnel are working safely, completing site paperwork including timesheets and using all sign on & off systems Conduct Site visits with the Client, the client's superintendents and/or regulatory bodies Providing regular and accurate reporting when required Working closely with the Site Foreman & Supervisor to ensure all changes made to program and/or scope are communicated effectively to all site staff Proven record of managing and complying with WHS and Quality Assurance processes Working closely with the HSEQ team to make sure JSC sites are safe and compliant Risk Management, proactive risk assessment and mitigation Being an Ambassador for the JSC brand Essential Skills and Criteria: A minimum of 3 years experience in civil and/or construction project management Qualifications in Engineering or Construction Management (or similar, desirable) Must hold Construction Induction, Asbestos Awareness, and Crystalline Silica certifications An understanding of civil project methodologies, especially bulk earthworks, detailed excavation, flexible pavements, all aspects of concrete work, and inground services An understanding of the MITS codes is desirable Proven experience in leadership and team development A strong attention to detail with proven IT skills with Microsoft Office, MS Project, and Procore project management system Demonstrated excellent communication skills both verbal and written with a strong command of the English language Permanent Residency or Australian Citizenship required JSC is an inclusive workplace that greatly values the contribution of diversity.JSC is an equal opportunity employer.#J-18808-Ljbffr
