Job Description
Our client is looking for an experienced Speech Pathologist to join the rural allied health community team on a locum contract for 3 months (with potential to extend).
Start date: ASAP for 3 months.
Responsibilities Working with the frail aged and people with a disability to maximise independence at home. Working with clients, carers, and families to provide practical solutions to promote independence and safety at home. Developing goals and care plans to assist clients to remain at home and active in their local community. Collaborating with other clinicians in the RAHT team to offer holistic care to clients referred. Working with a diverse range of clients and health conditions. Working across funding streams such as HACC PYP, CHSP & possibly the NDIS (minimal, if any). Opportunity to work with Allied Health Assistants to undertake client care programs and equipment trials. Primarily home-based work with some opportunity for clinic appointments. Skills Required Adult dysphagia management. Videofluroscopies. Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Community experience. Experience with a range of health conditions including progressive neurological disorders.
