Aboriginal applicants will be granted priority consideration for this vacancy.Primary Objective: Provide high-level strategic advice and management on all procurement and contract-related issues to support the Rum Jungle Rehabilitation Project (RJRP) for complex, medium/high risk, and high-value procurement and contract activities, ensuring compliance with the Northern Territory Government's legislative frameworks.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Provide high-level strategic advice and management on procurement and contract management for high-risk and high-value projects.Advise Project Director and Project Services Director to resolve contract disputes and liaise with external service providers.Manage a team responsible for procurement and contract management services.Lead the development of high-quality procurement documentation, including the project-specific procurement plan (PSPP).Develop and manage complex projects for strategic procurement and contract development.Implement strategic procurement and contract management processes across the RJRP.Maintain productive working relationships with colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders.Selection Criteria:Essential:Ability to provide high-level strategic advice and management on procurement and contract-related issues.Highly developed strategic, conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.High-level program and project management skills.Proven ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships and strategic alliances.Superior written communication skills, including report and proposal writing.Extensive knowledge of contract and procurement management.Well-developed knowledge of contracts and procurement systems and frameworks applicable to the public sector.Desirable:Tertiary qualifications in Business, Contract or Project Management, or similar.Further Information: The recommended applicant must be willing to travel to and from the project site and hold a current Territory C Class Driver's license.#J-18808-Ljbffr
