As the Manager Infrastructure Design – Building Engineering, some of your responsibilities will include: Provide knowledgeable technical support and facilitation of services, advice to the Senior Director, Critical Infrastructure to support health infrastructure master planning, efficient engineering design, whole of life infrastructure management to ensure a planned, integrated and risk managed approach. Participate and provide direction in the development, implementation and monitoring of infrastructure design and Critical Infrastructure team services that enhance the capability and capacity of the Division. Provide high quality client focussed technical advisory services to the HHSs and the Department which supports safe and efficient infrastructure, maximises the useful life of assets and supports the delivery of contemporary health services. Providing subject matter expert technical knowledge for the whole asset lifecycle including master planning, design development, capital delivery, commissioning and maintenance, and across key services including infrastructure design, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), vertical transportation, hydraulic, electrical services, fire compliance, communication/ICT, Sustainability and security services. Identify, research and analyse trends in infrastructure delivery and emerging industry trends in technical and engineering services with due regard to Queensland Health frameworks, policies and whole of government policy and laws regulating federal, State and local government building standards and related issues. The successful person You will have demonstrated: Ability to provide well considered technical advice to a non-technical audience in high pressure and dynamic situations based on clear analysis of health service requirements (decision quality). Well informed strategic perspective on building technical and engineering services, whole of life cycle infrastructure management and how this relates to the provision of health services (strategic agility). Working knowledge of government policy, and federal, state and local government laws regarding building, technical and engineering standards and related issues, pertinent to the delivery, commissioning and maintenance of built assets and major plant infrastructure (technical expertise). Extensive experience in consistently planning well and achieving outcomes through formal channels and informal networks across complex organisational cultures, both within and external to the organisation (organisational agility).
