About the role The CNC Machinist is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of CNC mills, EDM and wirecutting machines to produce high-quality parts that meet the manufacturing schedule. The CNC Machinist will use CAM to create complex toolpaths to ensure parts are manufactured to the required specification. The CNC Machinist must also perform troubleshooting of the machines to ensure they are functioning optimally. CNC Machinists are required to review & validate CAM programs & manufactured parts by CMM inspection. Responsibilities: CAM Programming, creation of complex CAM strategies, set up and safe operation of CNC machines and other precision machining equipment Mould/tool/ & equipment manufacturing, machining, finishing, assembly, & testing. Support the Projects teams to define performance specifications or functional requirements for new tooling projects. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation on all assigned tasks, as and when required. Follow process and work instructions to ensure safe, repeatable & quality results. Use troubleshooting skills to improve and develop repeatable processes Qualifications and Skills 5 years’ experience in creating complex CAM programs for mould tooling. 5 years CNC machining experience. Broad understanding of CNC machining & cutter technologies. Experience with plastics injection moulding. Qualifications in CNC programming, Toolmaking, Machining, or Engineering. Minimum 4 years in a Toolmaking environment, with direct & relevant experience in CNC programming.
