SIRROM, Facility Management Services are currently seeking serious, driven Chefs, Grounds, Admin, Guest Service Attendants in our Housekeeping and Catering teams in our Remote Workforce Village in Rockhampton/Mackay Region for our 400 man camp at Lotus Creek QLD 4705.

Available PositionsChefs - Head, Swing and Breakfast The role consists of preparing high volume bulk catering (preparing/cook/serve) breakfast, crib, dinner and dessert. Keeping high standards for food safety and hygiene, cleaning and tidying service areas, assisting with deliveries, stock takes and guidance to our kitchenhands.
Admin The admin role consists of a high-volume group and individual bookings (face to face, online, phone) and liaising with our valued client on a day-to-day basis. Experience in administration bookings system RMS will be highly regarded. The role will entail high standards of customer service, reporting and interdepartmental communication with our onsite management, housekeeping and kitchen teams. Knowledge of Housekeeping is a must.
Grounds / Handy man - General Allrounder The grounds all rounder role is responsible for maintaining the village grounds in a neat and tidy manner. General gardening including weeding, mowing lawns, pruning trees, operating and maintaining gardening equipment & emptying and cleaning of village rubbish bins. It will also include undertaking minor maintenance duties. Assisting the team with ad-hoc duties such as unloading all deliveries, assisting housekeeping and kitchen team and general duties as required.
Kitchenhands The role consists of supporting our Chefs and catering team, food preparation, making fruit platters, salads and crib meals, assisting Chefs when directed, keeping high standards for food safety and hygiene, cleaning and tidying service areas, assisting with unloading deliveries, stock takes and other ad hoc jobs in the catering team. While we are mobilizing the site this could be a hybrid role of both kitchen & housekeeping duties.
Housekeepers & Housekeeping Supervisor The role consists of cleaning accommodation rooms (ensuited dongas), general housekeeping, stripping and remaking beds, general cleaning duties of ensuites, floors, walls and laundry. Clean each alternate daysite offices and public areas. While we are mobilizing the site this could be a hybrid role of both housekeeping duties & kitchen.
You will need your own reliable transport (car) + licence for this role, preferably with an open manual Australian licence. All roles are physically demanding, working on your feet for up to 10 hours per day and it is a site requirement that you wear full PPE at all times. We have both 14/7 and 5/2 rosters on offer for the right candidate. Casual roles can also be considered.
You will be based within the Lotus Creek Village QLD 4705 which is accessible with 2-2.5 hours from - Blackwater, Emerald, Yeppoon and Rockhampton and surrounding areas on a drive-in/drive-out basis. Skills and Experience Required:Minimum 1 year work experience on a remote workforce village, in a commercial kitchen or relevant hospitality experience.Working knowledge of basic Food Safe Standards.Display a friendly and considerate disposition to guests and staff ensuring a harmonious work environment.Team player and be flexible to work in all areas.Ability to always follow safety policies and procedures.High attention to detail and professional customer service skills.Be physically fit and able to work 10–12-hour days.Developed time management skills.Must have own reliable transport (car) + licence for this role.What You Need:Food Handler's Certificate.Australian Driver's Licence (must be any Australian State) - international licence is not accepted.Proof of current Right to Work in Australia.National Police Check - no more than 1 month old.To be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug screening.We aim to expand our portfolio of support service assets and client solutions within Australia having operated throughout Australia by delivering innovative hospitality services!
