You will provide agronomic technical advice, products and services to help your clients thrive, as well as play the pivotal role of leading the rural products sales team and overseeing this function within the branch.ResponsibilitiesProvide onsite agronomic and technical support to clients to recommend appropriate products and services to strengthen their business Achieve allocated financial objectives and assist with product forecasting and inventory managementPromote branch staff upskilling by providing technical advice and product recommendationsDevelop and foster professional relationships with a targeted group of existing and new clientsIdentify and cultivate new agronomic sales opportunities for prospective and existing clients Maximise promotional opportunities, including assisting at field days and farmer meetings with demonstrations and trial workLead and mentor the rural products sales team to build strong client relationships, promote beneficial products, and enhance business success.Manage branch retail operations to exceed targets and monitor rural products performance against key metrics.Source new business opportunities to expand market share and assist in setting retail sales targets and business planning.Provide product expertise, oversee sales transactions, and coach the sales team to achieve individual and branch targets while supporting national initiatives.About youAble to thrive in a collaborative working environment Are smart, resourceful and able to embrace industry research and new technologyAre passionate about effecting real change for both your clients and your community – with building and maintaining relationships at the core of your work Have a background in disciplines such as pasture and broadacreHave a proven track record in sales and previous experience in an agronomy role Have a qualification in Agronomy aiming to grow their expertise while also managing a rural products team.Have an ability to provide high level customer service and cultivate relationships with potential and current growers Have a tertiary qualification in agricultural science or a related fieldThrive in a flexible and agile working environment About EldersAs a trusted Australian agribusiness, we have played an important role in the agricultural sector for 185 years.
