We are looking for an experienced Quality Officer for their Smeaton Grange site. The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying the product’s compliance with customer standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
* Perform, as instructed, quality assessments on incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping.
* Measure product dimensions, Surface Finish, hardness and examine functionality, and compare the final product to the Job Card specifications.
* Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality is maintained.
* Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
* Teach the production team about quality concerns to improve product excellence.
* Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
* Carry out calibration processes as required.
* Carry out Non-Destructive tests to assess compliance with the scope of works.
* Other duties as instruction by the Quality Manager.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Tertiary education in a mechanical Trade, such as Fitting and Machining or Toolmaker.
* Minimum five years’ experience as a machinist in the above-mentioned trade.
* An operational knowledge of MS Office products.
* Suitable mathematics and technical skills.
* Ability to read drawings and technical data.
* High attention to detail
