We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pain Medicine Specialist to join our esteemed team at Neurospine Institute WA, a leading medical facility specialising in Neurospine surgery and care.
This is an outstanding opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the advancement of Neurospine surgery care. Our specialist surgeons are supported by a dedicated team of specialist medical, pain and rehabilitation physicians, physiotherapists, nursing and administration staff, allowing the delivery of high quality clinical outcomes and service to patients in need of neuro-spinal care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients with chronic pain conditions, including those related to neurosurgical and spine procedures.
* Conduct comprehensive pain assessments, including medical history evaluations, physical examinations, and review of diagnostic test results.
* Develop individualized pain management plans tailored to each patient's specific needs, utilizing multimodal approaches that may include medications, interventional procedures, physical therapy, psychological interventions, and alternative therapies.
* Perform interventional pain procedures, such as nerve blocks, epidural injections, radiofrequency ablation, and neuromodulation techniques, to alleviate pain and improve patients' functional abilities.
* Collaborate closely with neurosurgeons, orthopaedic surgeons, psychologists, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic care for patients with complex pain conditions.
Requirements:
* Medical degree and current registration with the Medical Board of Australia or New Zealand as a Specialist in Pain Medicine.
* Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine, Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA), or equivalent.
* Registration as a Medical Practitioner with APRHA
* Current rights to work in Australia (Australian or New Zealand citizenship or Australian permanent resident)
