Our workforce understands what it means to be regional and is committed to the needs of our customers, passengers and communities.Job PurposeThis position is responsible to work under the direction of the HSE Manager to effectively implement the UGLRL Environmental Management System.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement and monitor the UGLRL Environmental Management System.Deliver environmental planning, solutions, and coordination, specifically to Routine Maintenance, Enhancement Projects or as directed by the HSE Manager.Assist in the response to incidents, lead or participate in investigations relating to WHSE events.Conduct site monitoring, reporting, and review the development and implementation of all Environmental Documentation for Routine Maintenance, Enhancement Projects or as directed by the HSE Manager.Research public and internal databases to identify environmental risks requiring further environmental impact assessment.Collate sustainability data to meet UGL Corporate reporting requirements.Assist in the development of Site Environmental plans, impact assessments, reviews of environmental impact assessments.QualificationsTertiary Qualification (Diploma or greater) in Environment and Heritage related discipline.Knowledge of the Commonwealth, NSW and ACT Environmental legislation.Awareness of ISO 9001/14001, ISO31000, ISO45001.Above average computer literacy skills.Customer focused, team oriented, accountable and results driven.Proficient communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.About UsUGL is well-known and respected for providing end-to-end engineering, construction, and maintenance services within, rail and transport, communications and technology systems, oil and gas, power, renewables and resources, water and defence markets.
