THE OPPORTUNITY
Salary: $78,564 - $111,391 per annum pro rata + 11.5% super + leave loading (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Time Fraction: Full Time, 1.0 EFT.
Location: Chadstone campus.
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.
Position Status: Ongoing contract of employment with a 6-month qualifying period.
The Department of Plumbing offers a dynamic, forward-thinking, and supportive teaching environment with robust connections to the industry. We are currently looking for a passionate and driven individual to design and deliver both theoretical and practical lessons for students enrolled in the Plumbing course.
You will engage with students of various ages, skill levels, and backgrounds. We are seeking a highly experienced industry plumber who can share valuable real-world insights with the students. Your responsibilities will include tracking attendance, grading assessments in Brightspace, and conducting both theoretical and practical sessions. Additionally, you will have the chance to offer pre-course guidance to prospective students during Open Days, information nights, and expos.

ABOUT YOU
* An approved degree or diploma in a relevant vocational area, or approved equivalent qualifications, at least to the level being delivered and assessed.
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment - TAE 40122 or equivalent predecessor or successor qualifications.
* Ideally, experience as a teacher of vocational and/or higher education and training programs.
* Ability to instruct a range of students and adapt suitable strategies including multi-cultural awareness and a commitment to working with students from diverse backgrounds.
* Ability to effectively convey knowledge, skills and experience appropriate to a diverse student population through the selection and use of a wide range of teaching and assessment strategies.
