The Mill Operator (Weighbridge) is responsible for the operation of the Surrey Hills Mill (SHM) weighbridge, including but not limited to inspecting and recording product delivery, controlling site, property access and associated administration tasks. Who will join our journey... Applicants must have administration experience with good computer literacy, accurate data entry skills and the ability to learn new IT software programs. An understanding and awareness of environmental chain of custody principles, or the ability to obtain, as well as willingness to work shift work (day and night shifts, Monday to Friday) and a current Drivers Licence are also prerequisites. Previous experience in mill operations, a weighbridge or a heavy industrial environment would also be looked upon favourably. Our ideal candidate will be a safety champion and have a strong environmental awareness, have excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong work relationships. In addition to this, attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions and the ability to work autonomously or contribute as a member of the team are also requirements.
