Role Details
The Renal Unit at Mackay Base Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your Opportunity
The Clinical Nurse Renal provides advanced level clinical skills to ensure patient-focused, evidence-based nursing care, plans and coordinates the clinical management of patient/client care, and provides leadership and support to other nursing staff within the Renal Service.
About The Team
The Mackay HHS Renal Service manages adult patients with acute kidney injuries and chronic disease, including dialysis and workup for transplant and post-transplant management.
A multidisciplinary team provides outpatient care to over 1300 CKD patients, as well as renal replacement therapy through advanced holistic patient care in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.

Mackay Hospital and Health Service has six hospitals, two multi-purpose health services, and four community health centres that employ over 3,700 staff.
The district covers approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine, and Sarina.
