Clinical Director, Mental Health, Drugs and Alcohol ServicesClinical Director, Mental Health, Drugs and Alcohol Services, Barwon Health Opportunity to drive Strategic Leadership in Mental Health and Addiction Services.Shape the Future of Integrated Mental Health Care at Barwon Health.Drive Innovation and Excellence in Mental Health as Clinical Director.Overview: Alumni Global is delighted to be partnering with Barwon Health, as we lead the search for its new Clinical Director, Mental Health, Drugs and Alcohol Services.This clinical leadership position offers an exceptional opportunity to provide high-level clinical and operational oversight, shaping the future of Barwon Health's Mental Health, Drugs, and Alcohol Services Directorate within their comprehensive regional health service.This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic clinical director to lead a committed team in delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to Barwon Health's diverse community.About Barwon Health: Barwon Health is one of Australia's largest regional health services, offering a wide range of care across the entire continuum of life.With over 9,000 dedicated staff and volunteers across more than 20 sites, they serve a population of over 500,000 people.Barwon Health's services span primary care, community and aged care, rehabilitation, mental health, emergency, and acute care.Barwon Health is committed to a culture of education, training, and research, demonstrated through their collaboration with Deakin University's IMPACT Institute to advance innovative clinical translation in mental and physical health.About the role: As Clinical Director, you will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and work closely with the Barwon Health Executive and Co-Director of Mental Health Drugs and Alcohol Services.With over 750 staff, the directorate delivers comprehensive mental health services across all age groups, including inpatient care, sub-acute facilities, community mental health teams, and specialist services, while leading the Local Mental Health and Wellbeing Service.Your responsibilities will include service integration across the health network, operational and budget management, risk and compliance oversight, and the continuous improvement of quality and safety standards.You will also play an instrumental role in advancing Barwon Health's award-winning initiatives, such as the Hospital in the Home program, and ensuring alignment with the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022.Key responsibilities: Lead the development and implementation of annual service plans that align with Barwon Health's strategic goals.Foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous service improvement across mental health and addiction services.Build and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders, including staff, community groups, and academic partners.Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative and accreditation standards, including acting as an Authorised Psychiatrist for Barwon Health.Oversee the effective management of resources, budget, and staff to achieve operational objectives.Support and drive clinical research and educational initiatives within the Directorate.About you: To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in senior clinical leadership, strategic planning, and health service management paired with specialist qualifications as a Psychiatrist, registered with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, or an equivalent qualification.You will bring a proven track record of leadership in complex environments, strong knowledge of public mental health systems, particularly in the delivery of mental health and addiction services, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and safe work environment.Higher qualifications in health service management and experience within the public health sector, particularly in mental health and addiction services, will be highly regarded. #J-18808-Ljbffr
