Area Operations Manager - Central West NSW

The Challenge:
As Area Operations Manager, you will oversee the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations of concrete plants in the Central West region, focusing on maximizing performance, people, plant, and fleet to meet operational standards while exceeding customer service expectations.
You will take a leading role across the Concrete business, ensuring all sites adhere to Holcim's operational standards consistently. This includes implementing key controls, engaging with plant staff and drivers, and providing strong leadership in health and safety, environmental management, operations management, cost management, and operational improvement.
You will also ensure all plants have detailed plans in place to maintain full environmental standards and compliance requirements across the area, including proactive community engagement. Financial responsibilities include achieving budgeted production costs and efficiency targets (plant and fleet) and reporting variances, along with taking corrective actions as necessary, including raw materials, distribution, labor, and maintenance costs.

About You:
* Tertiary qualifications in engineering, business management, or related fields (preferred).
* Strong management experience in construction-related fields, preferably concrete and/or aggregates or related heavy manufacturing sectors.
* Credible experience in HR and Industrial Relations.
* Well-developed leadership and team-building skills.
* A strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Experience with SAP, Excel, Word, and MS Project.
