About the Role
The Reference Librarian assists in supporting the teaching, learning and research activities of the University in various service areas of the Library. They provide expertise in information discovery and resource use in response to complex enquiries and assist in the continuous improvement of services.
These positions will be appointed to one of the Library services teams. The core responsibilities of individual positions will be determined by the needs of the Library and qualifications and experience of the successful applicant.
The Reference Librarian: After Hours. The need for an after-hours service is an essential component of the service support for those students studying online. While principally focused on providing services for UniSA Online students and course support, the service will also support other students and University business needs as required.
The Reference Librarian: After Hours, through the Ask the Library (ATL) service, provides advice and expertise in information discovery, digital resource navigation, assignment and referencing support. The role supports teaching, learning and research activities of the University.
The successful applicant will work a fortnightly rotating roster Monday to Friday, with Week One being from 3pm to 11pm, and Week Two being regular business hours.

Essential Skills and Experience
* Provide expertise in information discovery and resource use in response to complex enquiries received via the multi-channel Ask the Library service
* Provide problem solving expertise and training for Library Officers and Library Assistants
* Contribute to the creation of online resources and guides and participate in the delivery of training sessions
* Provide advice on a range of routine and moderately complex copyright and open access issues and assist in the delivery of educational programs to promote understanding of and compliance with copyright
* Plan and supervise team activities, overseeing processes and workflows and ensuring that staff are appropriately trained with oversight from senior team members
