Budja Budja Aboriginal Co-Op is a community controlled Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health service. The Budja Budja Aboriginal Cooperative Ltd. was established by the CEO and Elder, Tim Chatfield, in 1999. Its aim is to deliver a range of cultural, medical, health and wellbeing services to both the local Indigenous and non-Indigenous community. Budja Budja is the Traditional Aboriginal name for Halls Gap. The Clinic is in the heart of the Gariwerd/Grampians National Park, in Country shared by Djab Wurrung and Jardwadjali Traditional Owner Groups. Our second clinic is located on Djab Wurrung country, in Ararat.
The Opportunity
Budja Budja Aboriginal Co-operative is seeking experienced RN's or EEN's to join our casual bank.
Budja Budja has two vibrant medical clinics- located in Halls Gap and Ararat- open Monday - Friday 8:30- 5:00.
Requirements:
* A willingness to work across both sites, with good availability.
* Adaptable and flexible to change, sometimes at short notice.
* Culturally aware and committed to improving health outcomes.
* Have a collaborative approach to health and well-being.
* Display excellent communication skills and teamwork.
* Strong problem solving skills, self-motivated and show initiative for quality improvement.
* A willingness to learn new systems and processes- prior experience with MD or BP beneficial.
* Immunisation training (or willingness to undertake) desirable.
* Experience in chronic disease management and health assessments an advantage.
* A background in Practice Nursing is advantageous.

The applicant must be passionate about achieving positive outcomes. Highly empathetic and culturally competent. Able to build effective relationships with all stakeholders. Holistic approach to assessing clients. Able to support patients to understand their condition, treatment, and prevention.
