Qualifications:
Essential Technical Skills:
* 5+ years’ experience in systems administration, network operations, software support, or IT consulting.
* Maintain and extend accreditations and certifications, assist in developing best practices for key technologies and products to support technical team readiness.
* Understanding of Microsoft’s Modern IT Architecture and Strategy.
Windows Client:
* Proficiency in Windows client operating systems (Windows 10, Windows 11).
* Experience with Windows deployment tools (e.g., MDT, SCCM).
* Knowledge of security best practices for Windows client environments.
Background in Specific Windows 10/11 Configuration and Management Functions:
* Windows imaging.
* Windows update for business.
* Microsoft Intune / Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM / MECM).
* Autopilot.
* Windows co-management.
* Compliance/Configuration Policies application creation via MECM/Intune and best practices around both MECM/Intune.
* Configuration of client endpoints and endpoint management.
* Windows Networking.
* Software and Patch Management.
* Operating System Deployment.
* Deep experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware).
* PowerShell and scripting experience.
Desirable Technical Skills:
Windows Server:
* Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Server.
* Understanding of networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
* Experience with Failover Clustering, Remote Desktop Services, File and Print Services, and WSUS (Windows Server Update Services).
Microsoft System Centre (SC) Products, Experience in:
* SC Data Protection Manager.
* SC Endpoint Protection.
* SC Operation Manager.
* SC Virtual Machine Manager.
Experience with cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure and Azure Arc.
