We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Full-Time Electronic Equipment Technician to join our team.
Position Responsibilities and Tasks:
* Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electronic equipment used in traffic control operations, such as traffic signals, electronic signage, and control panels, ensuring all systems operate efficiently and without interruption.
* Diagnose and address electronic malfunctions in traffic control systems swiftly, minimizing downtime and ensuring the safety and smooth flow of traffic.
* Regularly calibrate electronic components of traffic control devices, such as signal controllers and timing systems, to ensure precise operation and compliance with safety standards.
* Respond promptly to emergency repair requests, identifying and resolving critical electronic failures in traffic control systems to prevent disruptions and maintain road safety.
* Collaborate with field teams to schedule and perform preventive maintenance on electronic systems, reducing the risk of future malfunctions and ensuring optimal performance.
* Maintain comprehensive records of all electronic maintenance activities, including troubleshooting efforts, repairs, and calibration tasks, to track equipment reliability and forecast potential electronic issues.
* Assist in the installation and integration of new electronic traffic control equipment, ensuring that all new systems are fully functional, properly integrated with existing infrastructure, and compliant with safety regulations.
* Strictly adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when working with high-voltage electronic systems in roadside environments, ensuring the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following proper handling procedures.
* Manage the inventory of electronic components and spare parts, ensuring that critical parts are readily available for timely repairs and maintenance activities.
* Stay informed about technological advancements in traffic control electronics, incorporating new methods and technologies into operations and providing technical training to junior technicians and maintenance staff.
* Perform system checks and diagnostic tests on electronic equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of traffic management systems.
* Communicate clearly with supervisors and colleagues regarding the status of electronic systems, maintenance tasks, and any technical issues that could impact traffic control operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Relevant qualification,
* At least 2 years of relevant work experience
* Good attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints
Salary:
The role offers a remuneration package of $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
