Head of Implementation and Lived Expertise
As Australia's first Women's Trauma Recovery Centre, we intend to continually refine and improve our services to support women in living independent, secure lives with hope and optimism.
We are seeking a dynamic woman to join us as the Head of Implementation and Lived Expertise. In this role, you will lead the successful research and knowledge translation components of the Centre's programs and initiatives while integrating lived expertise across all functions of the Centre.
About Us
The Centre is a community-led initiative, codesigned with women with lived expertise, professional experts, and service providers to offer free comprehensive and long-term support to women recovering and healing from the trauma of domestic, family, and sexual violence.
Your Role
* Co-create solutions, policies, and practices with individuals with lived experience, community partners, and stakeholders to empower marginalised communities.
* Facilitate engagement opportunities for lived experience insights to inform program design, implementation, and evaluation.
* Assist in shaping significant and strategic research agendas that yield new insights and opportunities to address the traumatic impacts of gendered based violence and abuse.
* Drive and lead innovative funding initiatives and applications as the chief investigator, securing essential research funding to propel Women's TRC forward.
* Design cutting-edge evaluation frameworks, performance metrics, and data collection methods to vividly showcase program impact.
* Transform data into powerful insights, shaping decision-making and revolutionising program effectiveness.
* Deliver compelling program outcomes and stories to stakeholders through engaging reports and presentations.
* Inspire and lead a dynamic team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and professional growth.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Hold qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, or a related field.
* Bring a minimum of 5 years' proven experience in knowledge translation and program design to drive impactful initiatives.
* Demonstrate a successful track record in public health and/or research related to domestic, family, and sexual violence, as well as violence or abuse-related trauma.
* Possess a strong understanding of issues related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice, with a steadfast commitment to centering lived expertise in organisational practices and decision-making.
* Exhibit excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills, effectively engaging and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
