Aboriginal applicants will be granted priority consideration for this vacancy.Primary Objective: The Manager Midrange Services provides leadership and direction in the delivery of a cohesive midrange computing and enterprise data storage service for all NT Government agencies.Context Statement: The Midrange Services unit provides the NT Government private cloud using highly virtualised server technologies, providing server management, operating system administration, application delivery controllers for security, and database administration services for many NT Government business application servers.Key Duties and Responsibilities: Provide leadership and direction to the Midrange Services unit to ensure the NT Government receives maximum value from its investment in the midrange platform.Manage the delivery of the Midrange product for whole of government services and ensure these services are provided to the required quality and within agreed timeframes to client agencies.Provide high-level coordination, analysis, and advice on midrange technology issues to the Senior Director, NTG Agencies and local industry.Manage the financial performance of Midrange Services in accordance with government financial guidelines for Government Business Divisions and ensure alignment with government priorities and strategies.Develop, implement, and manage resource strategies and technological solutions that will integrate the way staff deliver services; increase productivity; and improve the working environment in the Branch.Liaise with representatives of customer Agencies, including Senior Director level, as to their service requirements.As a member of various internal committees, contribute broadly to the leadership and delivery of the core business of Data Centre Services.Selection Criteria: Essential: Proven track record in the management of complex service delivery with an emphasis on information and communication technology services, in particular midrange server technologies.High level of leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to take a strategic viewpoint to management.Proven commercial acumen and the ability to manage financial performance and deliver outcomes in a commercialised environment.Ability to drive business improvement through technology and communicate and present technology initiatives in terms of business benefit to clients.Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships across a complex business environment.Experience in developing business/strategic plans, project plans, and high-level contemporary management skills.An ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures.Demonstrated work ethic and attitude, which emulates DCDD values of being professional, accountable, honest, innovative, and respectful.Desirable: Formal qualifications in a relevant discipline.Successful completion of Public Sector Management Program or similar leadership program.#J-18808-Ljbffr
