Position Details
As we continue our transformation and growth journey in the region, we are now looking to appoint a Senior Procurement Manager, Asia Pac to help design, implement and lead Lineage's procurement strategy for the region, supporting the delivery of high-quality goods and services to the organisation at the lowest cost in a sustainable and ethical manner.
Ideally based in Melbourne (the role could also be based in Sydney) and reporting into the VP Finance, Asia Pac, this position will lead a small team across the region and will assume accountability for key contracts and vendor management, Tier 1 Governance (including modern slavery, supplier onboarding and contractor management), regional standardisation and the promotion of Lineage core values of safety, trust, respect, innovation, bold and servant leadership.
The role is pivotal in creating a robust financial control environment and implementing best practices in procurement and vendor/contractor management. This position is accountable for achieving strategic objectives across sourcing and procurement processes/tools, developing and managing supplier partner relationships and delivering on agreed savings targets.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Identifying, evaluating, selecting and executing appropriate sourcing strategies across all spend categories in collaboration with key business leaders and stakeholders.
2. People management and engagement – leading a team across the region, providing coaching, mentoring and support.
3. Identifying potential procurement risks, such as supply chain disruptions or price fluctuations and developing strategies to mitigate these risks.
4. Implementing, standardising, managing procurement tools and systems to streamline processes, improve efficiency and reduce errors.
5. Generating regular and detailed procurement reports that provide insights into spending patterns, supplier performance and market trends to inform strategic decision-making.
6. Key contracts and vendor management across all spend areas, incl. Consumables, MHE, Electricity, Capex, Labour Hire
7. Category Management incorporating supplier rationalisation, spend reduction, spend optimisation/value engineering
8. Key vendor KPI review and/or QBR eg: Pallets, MHE, Stretch Wrap, PPE, etc.
9. Coordinate M&A and integration activities related to sourcing and procurement.
10. Ensuring all procurement activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations and company policies.
Your experience should ideally include:
11. Bachelor’s degree in business or Procurement (or similar) or equivalent procurement management experience, ideally within the Warehousing and/or Supply Chain industries
12. Ability to develop critical insights and make strategic recommendations based on data, key metrics and business requirements
13. Impressive credentials as a strategic procurement professional with strong commercial acumen.
14. Experience in leading procurement teams in large, geographically dispersed, complex environments.
15. Track record of category management, procurement governance and continuous improvement.
16. Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
17. Proficiency in procurement software and other related IT systems.
18. Ability to think critically and innovatively to identify optimal procurement solutions across the region.
19. Tech savvy with advanced systems and process knowledge.
20. Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret productivity and resource management data.
21. Exposure to procurement & purchasing governance practices for the purposes of supplier onboarding, contract management and PO compliance
