More About the Role at RACV About the Opportunity Reporting to the Head of Marketing Leisure, the Marketing Manager for Travel and Experiences is responsible for the development and delivery of the associated marketing strategy for the Travel and Experiences portfolio. You will be equally responsible for budget management, reporting and effectiveness for all of the marketing activity across an integrated channel mix covering broadcast, digital and 1:1 marketing (through the line). The Leisure Marketing team is accountable for driving acquisition and strengthening relationships with existing customers as well as being responsible for developing and delivering the strategic marketing plan across the Leisure portfolio. Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll be doing: - Lead the planning and delivery of the strategic marketing plan for the Travel and Experiences portfolio – including Resorts, Partnerships, Travel Insurance, Tours, Cruises, Tickets and attractions, Car hire and IDPs - Develop, optimise and or refine values based proposition(s). - Work with the Digital Performance Manager to develop a media strategy and measurement framework for the inclusion of quantitative and qualitative marketing objectives for each program within the plan by understanding the source of growth and business opportunity. - Identify new marketing program opportunities which drive breadth in campaign capability. - Collaborate in campaign design, with a view to generating test and learn opportunities (where relevant). - Oversee the development of campaign briefs including operational planning (and implementation), creative development process (Agency side) and media planning and delivery. - Manage relationships with Resort Managers and other leisure stakeholders across our portfolio - Develop our communications to focus on experiences, whilst selling rooms. - Support Marketing Lead and Marketing Consultants through role model behaviours and coaching in best practice campaign management. - Be responsible for the respective budget, ensuring ‘best bang for buck’ and delivery on budget. Provide monthly updates to Head of Marketing Leisure highlighting plan vs. actual budget, disclosing reasons for variance and recommendations. - Work with internal and external partners to articulate an effective channel plan for each campaign, inclusive of both communication and response channels. - Collaborate with the broader Marketing team to ensure marketing activity is consistent with overall business objectives, and all relevant parties are informed. - Work with other Marketing Managers including planning and performance and 1:1 teams across the Marketing Division to drive efficiencies and optimise the broader Marketing plan. - Lead the channel management process, including internal communications, capacity planning and training. - Participate in the Post Implementation Review process and ensure future campaign activity leverages key learnings. - Identify cost efficiencies, through active supplier management, which create opportunities for new marketing investment. - Drive integration, synergies, best practice, and learnings across the portfolio and the broader RACV marketing community What you’ll need to be successful - 7 years strategic marketing experience in business to consumer, ideally in the travel industry - Proficient in the use of all through the line communication mediums, broadcast, digital and 1:1 - Proven ability to develop marketing strategy, which governs multiple streams of delivery, and strong quantitative basis. - Leisure hospitality background highly advantageous - Strong presentation, communication and written skills - The ability to work under pressure and deliver in a fast paced environment - Commercial and financial acumen - Strong relationship management and influencing skills - Collaborative and strong team player - Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills and good application of all other Microsoft Office packages - Effective leader and team player - Specialist in the field of consumer marketing - Strong problem solving skills - Works effectively within a team, role models leadership behaviours, and provides direction and support - Possess a strong customer focus There’s so much on offer when you join RACV with benefits including - Our flexible and informal work environment which helps bring balance between work and home. - Generous discounts on home and car insurance policies and RACV roadside care - Great discounts across all RACV resorts - Discounts from corporate partners that are updated monthly.
