Job Responsibilities:Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, including the supervision of laboratory staff.Develop, implement, and maintain laboratory policies and procedures, including quality assurance/quality control programs.Oversee the preparation and analysis of samples and the interpretation and reporting of results.Ensure that laboratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated and that laboratory facilities are clean and safe.Ensure that laboratory activities are compliant with regulatory requirements, including health and safety regulations, data protection regulations, and accreditation standards.Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients and stakeholders, including the resolution of any issues or complaints.Prepare and manage the laboratory budget, including the procurement of equipment, supplies, and services.Provide training and development opportunities for laboratory staff.Stay current with advances in laboratory techniques and technologies and evaluate their potential application in the laboratory.Qualifications:Advanced Diploma or higher in a relevant scientific field, such as biology, chemistry, or environmental science.A minimum of five years of experience in a laboratory management role, including the supervision of laboratory staff.Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques and quality assurance/quality control programs.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.Strong organizational and budget management skills.Familiarity with health and safety regulations and accreditation standards.Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and laboratory information management systems.#J-18808-Ljbffr
