The ideal candidate is a proactive and strategic thinker with excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills and has a strong wine industry background, with experience in marketing and promotion, financial management, industry stakeholder engagement, and government advocacy.
Key Responsibilities
1. To develop and execute yearly Operational Plans designed to meet the CVWGA strategic goals.
2. To advocate for and promote the Clare Valley’s viticulture, winemaking and associated wine tourism activities.
3. To develop and maintain strong and effective networks and working relationships with primary stakeholders, including advocacy with government.
4. To be accountable for the financial management of the association, tracking key projects and deliverables, ensuring deadlines are met, budgets adhered to, and priorities are clear.
5. To prepare detailed reports on the association’s performance, along with providing any advice and recommendations on operations, policies, advocacy and planning to the Board.
6. To manage staff recruitment (as agreed by the Board), performance and engagement by providing any necessary training and development opportunities and by promoting a positive working environment and culture.
