Specific Selection CriteriaApplicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria, experience and expertise to teach Years 7-12 English, and the capacity to teach Extension 1 and Extension 2 English;proven ability to lead change and implement new English syllabuses;proven ability to lead and inspire staff in explicit teaching strategies to improve student achievement in literacy, with a focus on writing and reading;highly developed leadership skills with the ability to strengthen and build capacity in a diverse faculty, in the integration of technology as an effective teaching and learning platform; demonstrated commitment to work as an effective member of the school executive team in the delivery of the school's strategic directions for whole school improvement.General Selection Criteria1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs3.
