Senior Accountant, Temporary opportunity until end 2026, based in Sydney and Parramatta Temporary opportunity until the end of 2026 (with the possibility to extend or make ongoing) Clerk grade 9/10: $120,859 - $133,183 super Based in Sydney and Parramatta (office attendance will be required, currently 2 days per week onsite) Supporting Digital.NSW, this role will give you the opportunity to collaborate closely with Senior Leaders and be involved in end-to-end accounting and financial processes. What are we looking for in our ideal candidate? Demonstrated experience in accounting in either a commercial environment and/ or the public sector Relevant tertiary and professional qualification Attention to detail Analytical mindset You enjoy working in a team to share ideas and collaborate, but feel comfortable taking ownership of your own work and deliverables What will your day involve? No two days are the same, but a general overview would look like this: Prepare and deliver regular reporting and analysis of organisation's financial performance and drivers to ensure accuracy, compliance and the ability for management and business to effectively respond to changing circumstances and developments Establish and maintain effective financial management controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards, NSW Treasury guidelines and contemporary accounting practices Provide specialist technical advice, support and training on financial matters and practices, accounting policies and procedures, statutory reporting, and funding matters to ensure the organisation is compliant and achieves its targets Manage the preparation of the organisation’s submissions to ensure requirements are achieved on time to the expected standard How to Apply: Please submit an up to date resume - maximum 5 pages and 2 pages cover letter.
