Service Stream’s Utilities are currently seeking a Field Manager - Metering Services to join our growing company. The primary objective of this role is to drive the efficient management and oversight of the field service operations. It involves coordinating field service teams by ensuring the effective and safe delivery of services while maintaining quality standards and ensuring compliance with regulations. Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time Location: Mornington, TAS Reporting Line: Field Services Manager – Metering Operations Key Responsibilities
This role plays a pivotal part in resource allocation, team leadership and the building of strong client relationships. Further, it creates a culture of safety, continuous improvement and team skill development with the goal of exceeding customer expectations and achieving performance targets. It contributes to organizational success by managing budgets and enhancing operational efficiency.
1. Lead and manage a team of field personnel, including supervisors, technicians and subcontractors.
2. Provide guidance, direction, and support to team members to ensure they meet performance objectives.
3. Foster a positive and productive work environment.
4. Plan and execute field operations according to project specifications and timelines.
5. Allocate resources and coordinate activities to meet project goals.
6. Monitor progress and adjust plans as necessary.
7. Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and company policies.
8. Maintain high-quality standards for work performed in the field.
9. Manage and optimise the allocation of equipment, materials, and manpower.
10. Serve as the primary point of contact with clients or customers in the field.
11. Monitor field personnel's performance and productivity.
12. Identify training needs and facilitate skill development for team members.
13. Address conflicts and issues within the team promptly.
14. Plan and manage logistics for field operations, including transportation and accommodation if required.
15. Ensure that projects or services meet or exceed customer expectations.
About You The role requires a substantial experience in managing and optimising field service operations. A proven background in coordinating teams, ensuring efficient and safe service delivery, adhering to quality standards and compliance with regulations. Experience in resource allocation, leadership, and client relationship management is vital. Strong problem-solving skills, project management proficiency, and the ability to analyse data for process improvement are essential. Budget management and a history of fostering a strong safety culture.
