The Role As a Payroll Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional people operations and payroll projects. You will be at the forefront of enhancing the employee experience through top-notch payroll systems and employee value propositions. In this dynamic and agile environment, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to drive sustainable change through data-driven decisions. Key Responsibilities: Addressing employee queries related to HR and payroll. Reviewing payroll reports for Australia and New Zealand, arranging approvals, and liaising with outsourced payroll vendors for end-to-end payroll delivery and support. Supporting various payroll and HR operations projects, including annual remuneration and remediation projects. Assisting junior payroll team members with their development. Driving continuous improvement and innovation in payroll processes. Managing payroll vendors. Supporting the review and implementation of systems and people experience initiatives. Liaising with external consultants and lawyers for multiple projects, with a focus on remediation. What You Bring: Strong working knowledge and experience in Excel. Understanding of payroll legislation in New Zealand and Australia. Analytical and HR systems skills (preferably Workday) with the ability to identify data outliers. Excellent communication and engagement skills. Ability to simplify complex concepts for leaders and employees. Confidence in working with and influencing a diverse range of stakeholders.
