Specialist Pharmacist - Oncology and Haematology (519962)Department of HealthCommunity, Mental Health & WellbeingCMHW - Tasmanian Health ServicesApplications must be submitted by Sunday 29 December, 2024 11:55 PM AEST.Award/Classification:Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement, Allied Health Professional, Level 3$110,425 to $121,907 pro rata, per annumEmployment type:Part TimeRegion:NorthLocation:Level 3, LGHJoin the existing highly skilled team of pharmacists and technicians based in the Holman Clinic at the Launceston General Hospital.The Role:Coordinate the provision of clinical activities in the specialist areas of Oncology and Haematology, at the Launceston General Hospital (LGH), including undertaking training, professional supervision, and support regarding other pharmacy staff.Provide and coordinate comprehensive pharmaceutical care as part of a multidisciplinary team in the specialist areas of Oncology and Haematology, including dispensing and patient counselling and the provision of professional advice and consultancy services to other health professionals.Educate pharmacy staff, including undergraduate and postgraduate students, in the theory and practice of clinical pharmacy services.Supervise, train, and provide leadership and guidance to other pharmacists and associated support staff in the specialist areas of Oncology and Haematology.Take an active role in the maintenance and provision of drug information and drug utilisation evaluation within the specialist area and in education programs for other health professionals, including undergraduates.Keep abreast of emerging trends in drug therapy in the specialist areas by self-education and participation in national networks, including participating in research and clinical drug trials in the field of Oncology and Haematology.Details of appointment: Permanent part time, day worker position, working 15.2 hours per fortnight on Fridays, commencing as soon as possible. *Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.$106,966 to $118,114 per annum (Pro rata).
