We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Vice President of Sales to lead both sales and operational delivery of advanced mining technology solutions across Australia. This role requires a leader who can drive revenue growth, oversee on-site technology implementations, and manage key client relationships from initial engagement through to project execution. Based in Sydney, you will be responsible for spearheading business development, expanding market presence, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards across Australia's key mining regions. Key Responsibilities: Sales Leadership & Business Development: Act as the key sales leader, identifying and closing new business opportunities in the Australian mining industry. Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth and market share, consistently achieving or exceeding revenue targets. Foster strong relationships with executives and decision-makers in mining companies across Australia, promoting the benefits of our technology solutions to meet operational challenges. Leverage your knowledge of the local market to identify emerging opportunities in regions such as the Pilbara and Queensland coalfields. Operational Oversight & Delivery: Lead the deployment of mining technology solutions across multiple sites, ensuring that all projects meet Australian safety standards and WHS (Workplace Health and Safety) regulations. Oversee local project managers and ensure that project delivery is on time, within budget, and meets client expectations. Manage the logistical challenges of implementing solutions in remote mining locations, ensuring seamless integration of our products into client operations. Demonstrated financial acumen in managing budgets and optimizing costs across large-scale projects. Account Management & Client Engagement: Maintain ownership of key accounts, ensuring client satisfaction from project initiation through to post-delivery support. Serve as the main point of contact for clients, managing ongoing relationships and ensuring long-term partnerships. Provide regular updates to clients and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing local team focused on sales and delivery. Collaborate with international teams to ensure alignment between local initiatives and global corporate strategies. Build and manage a scalable team capable of handling complex technology deployments and client management across Australia's mining regions. Success Metrics: Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue growth within the Australian mining sector. Ensure successful delivery of technology projects across multiple sites, maintaining high client satisfaction. Develop and expand key accounts, driving long-term client partnerships and new business opportunities. Build and lead a high-performing team capable of managing both sales and operational delivery. Requirements: At least 15 years of experience in the mining industry, with expertise in sales, account management, and project delivery. At least 10 years of experience with a leading hardware OEM (sensors/IoT) or technology provider, demonstrating a strong track record of successful technology deployment. A proven track record of consistently achieving quotas and driving new business in the mining technology or related sector. Strong experience in managing on-site technology deployments (sensors, IoT, software) and leading projects from sales through to successful delivery. In-depth knowledge of the Australian mining landscape, including regulatory requirements and operational challenges. Demonstrated ability to work independently as the key sales leader in the region, while also managing client relationships and ensuring project success. Strong project management skills, with experience in overseeing multi-site deployments in remote locations. Exceptional leadership abilities with a focus on mentoring and building teams across both sales and operations. Experience in mining mobile equipment operations and technology solutions. Expertise in predictive maintenance, reliability, and asset management technologies within the mining sector. Additional Qualifications: Advanced negotiation skills with a history of securing beneficial contractual terms in complex technology agreements.
