Rio Tinto are expanding operations in the Pilbara to epic proportions while introducing next generation technologies to deliver greater efficiency, lower production costs and improved health, safety and environmental performance About the Role: We are looking for an Events Coordinator to focus on planning, organising and supervising an annual calendar of social events for the Rio Tinto Operational Excellence team. This is a newly created role within the business support team suitable for a dynamic, energetic individual who has strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving capability. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of several events. This role is based at Ports Cape Lambert on a residential basis, working a Monday to Thursday roster 9am 2pm. Responsibilities and Duties: Generating concepts from briefs, then presenting to key stakeholders for collaboration and agreement End to end management of events Identify when Level 2 risk assessments are required and carry out in conjunction with HSE representatives Communications and post event reviews Ensure contracted parties and event attendees are aware of and abide by RTIO safety standards and protocols Raise Purchase Orders as required and complete timely close out to ensure vendor payment Ensure event budgets created in advance, adhered to and reviewed following event Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the appropriate Occupational Health & Safety Standards and Regulations as well as RTIO policies and procedures Meet with stakeholders to plan, execute and manage the event with regular catch ups using assorted communication channels Skills & Experience Required: Demonstrated knowledge of event coordination & planning Experience within a similar role Microsoft office experience Self-managed and proactive attitude Strong ability to problem solve Excellent stakeholder management and ability to liaise at all levels of the organisation C Class WA Manual Drivers License Apply Now Click on the Apply button or for a confidential discussion please contact: Principal Consultant: Bella Mason via Contact Number08 9201 6268or bella.masonworkpac.com quoting the below Reference Number RioTintoProfessional Job Reference Number: 7469J20256051 About WorkPac WorkPac is Australia’s largest privately owned workforce solutions business.
