Job Purpose
This role is key to enable the Brendale location to succeed in its ISO 9001:2015 certification; we’re looking for a process-oriented, hands-on individual who wants to take on new challenges, learn new technologies and work in a multi-site, muti-cultural role for the quality department. Komatsu’s philosophy is deeply engrained in its commitment to quality and reliability, and this role will leverage that to:
1. Create and effectively implement processes across the facility.

3. Demonstrate proficiency on processes-improvement tools and problem-solving techniques (PDCA, PFMEA, DMAIC, Lean Six Sigma, A3, 8D, SCARS, ISO standards, Causal Analysis: 5 whys, root cause analysis, VSM)
The role’s day to day will be around creation and implementation of ISO 9001:20125 processes, getting team’s buy-in on those processes and fine-tune them as needed.
This position s full-time based at Brendale, Queensland.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
4. Define and implement Inspection processes and execute inspections. Write inspection and/or test documentation.
5. Provide technical support by knowledge sharing, advising, and training of products/process to ensure high levels of quality assurance.
6. Assumes leadership to promote a Quality culture and act as the Product Quality owner.
7. Ensures all manufacturing practices are in conformance with mirrored policies, procedures and objectives.
8. Identifies and supports the resolution of corrective actions, product defects or process issues. Manage the day-to-day supplier quality aspects and lead issues to resolution.
9. Leads activities of defect containment, root cause analysis and corrective action related to product or process issues.
10. Responsible for change management success, and implementation of cross-teams process changes.
11. Responsible for quality metrics, making the metrics visible and uses the metrics to drive change and improvements.
12. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams globally to support process improvements and technology advancements.
13. Utilise statistical tools and methodologies to analyse process data, identify areas for improvement, and implement appropriate solutions.
14. Drive a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities for operational excellence, cost optimisation, and quality enhancement within manufacturing processes.
15. Ability to adopt and sustain ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) manufacturing controls and processes to ensure compliance ANSI/ESD S20.20.
Required Skills
16. Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably Industrial, Manufacturing, or Quality Engineering discipline.
17. Extensive experience in quality-related roles.
18. Sound experience in manufacturing/material inspection.
19. Good experience in process implementation and improvement.
20. Excellent communicator, capable of interacting with different levels of the organisation; interfacing with both customers and suppliers.
21. Self-driven.
22. Able to drive change and adapt to change.
23. Demonstrate proficiency on processes-improvement tools and problem-solving techniques (PDCA, PFMEA, DMAIC, Lean Six Sigma, A3, 8D, SCARS, ISO standards, Causal Analysis: 5 whys, root cause analysis, VSM)
24. Desire to learn new technologies and expand areas of expertise.

25. iAuditor(Safety Culture) experience
26. Desired ASQ Certifications: Supplier Quality Professional CSQP; Certified Quality Engineer CQE; Reliability Engineer CRE.
27. Effective and efficient use of business systems including but not limited to SharePoint, Zendesk support portal, SAP (for MRP, RMA, Material Management, and ECM functions)
