In this rare to come by opportunity, Interrelate will be looking at supporting and covering the expenses of the FDR qualification for the successful candidates who will be employed to work and study.
What we require from you will be dedication, motivation and the determination to commit to the completion of this qualification in a timely manner.
Whilst completing the required Family Dispute Resolution role requirements, Interrelate will provide you with the support you need through on-the-job training, coaching and mentoring to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to be a qualified Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner and General Mediator.
If you are successful in this position, as a Case Manager/Trainee Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, you will primarily focus on completing the Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) course.
While undertaking the study, you will also provide case management to Interrelate clients through a process of engagement, screening, needs assessment and referrals to appropriate services within Interrelate and externally during the balance of the time remaining after your main priority which is the completion of your FDR qualification and Accreditation.

In the FDR role you will then provide a range of high quality, child-focused interventions to families post separation who are experiencing various levels of conflict and need support reaching agreements in relation to their children and/or the distribution of property.
The role will include intake, risk assessment, case management, and the provision of interventions including mediation and child inclusive practice under the jurisdiction of the Family Law Act.
The role will be based in our Dubbo Office with some flexibility to work from home, you will be paid in line with a SCHADS Award level 5 position, which is $53.24 per hour.
We have two opportunities available, working 37.5hrs per week & 30hrs per week.
These roles will be Fixed term contracts until 30 June 2026.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS: Enrolment in, or the ability to be able to enrol in an approved dispute resolution/mediation/conciliation course that leads to qualification as a registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner and accreditation with the Attorney General Department.
Bachelor degree in social work, community welfare, counselling, psychology or related discipline; or a Graduate Diploma in counselling, community service or equivalent in addition to a Bachelor degree that is not a related discipline.
