About the role
The Office of Teaching & Research Technical Services is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Technical Support Officer, Nursing & Midwifery. As a Technical Support Officer, you will provide essential technical support for teaching and, where applicable, research activities. Your responsibilities will include preparing materials and equipment before classes, offering safety guidance to staff and students, and ensuring the proper use and maintenance of equipment and facilities within your scope. This position is specifically within the Nursing & Midwifery Team, focusing on activities in this discipline.
About You
The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree in Nursing & Midwifery or possess an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training. You have demonstrated experience in clinical practice, patient care, or other health services-related facilities. Your background includes providing undergraduate technical support, preparing, and setting up practical teaching spaces such as laboratories, clinical areas, and other specialised facilities. You possess well-developed organisational skills, enabling you to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities effectively. Additionally, you have demonstrated experience in using and maintaining complex equipment and instrumentation specific to clinical practice or clinical simulation teaching environments, such as simulation manikins.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 5 $96,997 to $109,694 p.a. (comprising Salary of $81,964 to $92,693 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
