Fixed term temporary part-time / 38 hours per fortnight / Commencing ASAP to 30/03/2025 with the possibility of extension up to 30/06/2025
The Statewide Brain & Spinal Cord Injury (BaSCI) Project is a Commonwealth funded project undertaking design, implementation, and evaluation strategies locally to enhance rehabilitation services for people with acquired brain injury (ABI) and spinal cord injury (SCI) across the care continuum to:
1. Optimise patient access, experience and outcomes
2. Boost system capacity, capability and performance
3. Ensure equitable patient access to high quality care irrespective of geography
4. Improve coordination and integration of services across all phases of care
5. Standardise contemporary approaches to care
6. Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of health services
The purpose of this position is to provide specialised physiotherapy clinical and consultancy services for the Spinal Cord Injury Service to develop, implement, and evaluate patient centred care models to improve outcomes and experiences for consumers and stakeholders across Northern Queensland, in conjunction with the Queensland Spinal Cord Injury Service (QSCIS).
The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:
7. Advanced level clinical expertise and high-level capability in the application of high quality, evidence based, patient centred physiotherapy SCI rehabilitation services as part of a multidisciplinary team.
8. Advanced level communication skills and organisational ability including experience in specialist clinical areas, innovative or alternative models of care.
9. High level ability to supervise and support the development of less experienced staff ensuring safe and sustainable high-quality service outcomes.
10. Ability to provide active leadership in the ongoing development of high level innovative clinical service improvement and research initiatives, including clinical protocol development.
11. Ability to develop, implement and evaluate clinical practices, professional support structures and clinical procedures.
Generous remuneration package value up to $83,793 p.a. comprising:
12. Salary range of $70.99 to $74.07 p.h. (HP5)
13. Annual leave with 17.5% loading
14. 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements:
15. Proof of qualification (Physiotherapy) and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.
16. A post-graduate qualification in a relevant field will be highly regarded.
17. Travel is a requirement of the position. Regional visits of approximately 1 to 3 days duration are conducted by the SCI Service throughout Northern Queensland.
18. Possession of class C drivers' licence.
19. This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
